At the time of writing the indications were that the Forbury Park Trotting Club’s spring meeting would be opened today in very pleasant conditions. Most of the visiting horses arrived yesterday morning and were exercised on the track, which provided perfect going. The principal race on the card is the King George Handicap, with a 4min 27sec class—and interest in it will mainly be centred in the meeting of the improving Mobile Globe and the consistent First Lord. In all probability they will dispute favouritism. The extra totalisator accommodation provided should ensure that all the business offering will be handled expeditiously and that there will be no undue congestion in front of the main building. The doubles will be operated on the King George Handicap and the Dominion Handi-
