CROSS-COUNTRY RACE

King’s High School The King’s High School held its annual cross-country race over a course of about three miles yesterday afternoon. In the senior event, 17 runners faced the starter. The race, which was run on a handicap basis, was won by the scratch man, O Cook, who also took the honours for fastest time.

The Junior race, which was also run on a handicap basis, was,won by W, Carstairs. Results: Senior.—O. Cook 1, P. Darracott 2, ,J. McPhail 3 Fastest time, O. Cook. Junior. —W. Carstairs 1, J. Keene 2, G. Jennison 3. Fastest time, G. Stewart.
