CITIZEN CANDIDATES

Sir,—l wish to add my voice in protest against the treatment given Miss Roberts and Dr North. Will you. Sir, through your columns explain how this so-called Citizens' Committee came into existence and on what authority have they the power to say who shall stand and who shall not? It definitely is a political move and is a disgrace. Miss Roberts, who has done such won* derful work in connection with the Hospital, and who has the esteem and respect of the community, should, and must, stand as an Independent candidate. She will have strong support and must not be a victim of such dictatorial methods. We are not under Soviet rule yet.—l am. etc.. W. M. M.
