Canada Restricts Shipment Of Vital Goods Rec. 10.30 p.m. OTTAWA, Sept. 28. Canada decided today to restrict the shipment of nylon, certain metals and chemicals to the "United States, as well as other parts of the world. The new controls go into effect on October 1. The Trade Department said the move is part of an over-all policy to tighten up the export of goods which are either needed for Canada’s defence programme or which may be of vital use to Communist countries.
