YOUNGEST PASSENGER

Baby On Trans-Tasman Flying Boat PA AUCKLAND, Sept. 28. The youngest passenger ever to fly the Tasman —Mervyn Lee, aged two weeks, arrived by flying boat today. “We both had a very pleasant trip,” said his mother, Mrs Mary Lee, an attractive, smartly-dressed blonde, who has come from Portrush, Northern Ireland, to settle in Newtown, Wellington. Mervyn is her first baby, and was born in Sydney on her way to join her husband, Mr William Lee, a speed car driver. Mr Lee came early this year to prepare a home for his family. He will see his son for the first time at the Wellington Railway Station tomorrow morning. Mervyn was given a large photograph of the Aotearoa II signed by every member of the Solent’s crew.
