AUSTRALIAN GRANT

Otago School Of Mines STAFF MEMBERS AND STUDENTS A member of the staff and two students of the Otago School of Mines will soon have an opportunity to visit Australia to further their studies. This has been made possible by an offer of financial assistance from the Broken Hill Proprietary, Ltd., which was accepted at a meeting of the Council of the Otago University yesterday. The BHP industrial organisation gives support to various schools of mining in Australia. One member of the staff of the Otago Mining School and two students will probably go to Australia about the middle of November to commence the periodic visits which have been made possible by the grants.
