SEVERE INJURIES

Watersider In Hold Of Overseas Ship

PA WELLINGTON, Sept. 25. With severe lacerated wounds on the lower part of his face and suffering from concussion, a watersider named Popadolpulus, of Brougham street, Wellington, was found in the hold of an overseas ship late this afternoon. The shin the Isle Verdon, was berthed at the Queen’s wharf. A call was received by the Wellington Free Ambulance at 4.11 p.m. and Popadulpulus was admitted to the Wellington Public Hospital. There was no sign of anyone near the hold when the injured man was discovered. It is understood that there may have been a fight in the hold. Late tonight the wharf police had received no reports of accidents or of anybody falling down the hold.
