Meeting On Mount Ruapehu PA WELLINGTON, Sept. 24.

The North Island ski championships were decided on Mount Ruapehu yesterday and today. • Miss Helen Alanson (Owhango), who has been on skis only once this year, won the women’s championship, and R. McKenzie (Wellington) took the men’s title. Results:—

Men’s Slalom.—R. McKenzie (Wellington), lmin 58 4-ssec, 1; D. Dorflinger (Stratford), 2min 9 l-ssee, 2; T. McKeon (Stratford), 2min 17 2-ssec, 3.

Women's Slalom.—Miss Alanson, 2mln 4 4-ssec, 1; Miss Phillipa Todd (Wellington), 2min 20 l-ssec, 2: Miss Helen Hayward (Taihape), 2min 31sec, 3. Men's Downhill. McKenzie, lmin 41 2-ssec, 1; W.
