YOUNG BOY DROWNED

PA NAPIER, Sept. 20. A boy, aged two years and a-half, was drowned in a creek in George's drive at mid-day today. He was Wayne Barham, son of Mr and Mrs John Barham, of Bedford road. Marewa. Men searched waist deep in the creek for the body after the boy had disappeared. When they found the boy he was placed in the iron lung at the public hospital without avail.
