North Otago Applies For South Island Golf Championships

The Daily Times was told yesterday that the North Otago Golf Club had made application for the South Island golf tournament on the King s Birthday week-end next year. Indications are that North Otago will be allocated the tournament, which was held in Greymouth this year and In Timaru in 1949. The local club’s championship tournament is becoming increasingly popular, and visitors have been loud in their praise of the links and management of the tournament.
