SWISS TO BUY TANKS Rec. 9 p.m. LONDON. Sept. 19. Switzerland plans to buy 550 medium tanks, if possible from Britain or the United States, at a cost of nearly £40.000000. Colonel Pierre de Murall. of the National Defence Department, said today that the Swiss Military Department was reviewing the chances of buying tanks abroad or building ♦horn undpr licence.
