Pursuant to Section 45 of “ The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925,” Public Notice Is Hereby diven that the Waitaki Electric Power Board passed the following Resolution by way of a Special Order at a Meeting of the Board held on the 28th day of August, 1950: — “ That in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by section 15 of ‘ The Statutes Amendment Act, 1938,’ the Waitaki Electric Power Board having obtained the precedent consent of the Local Government Loans Board and of the Governor-General-in-Council to the raising of a loan of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) to be known as the Housing Loan, 1950, Hereby Resolves by way of Special Order under Section 15 of ‘ The Statutes Amendment Act, 1938,' and Section 45 of ‘ The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925,’ to borrow the sum of ten thousand pounds (£10,000) for a term of twenty (20) years at a.rate of interest not exceeding three pounds five shillings (£3 ss) per centum per annum for the purpose of acquiring land, erecting dwellings, and purchasing land with dwellings thereon, in exercise of the powers conferred on the Board by sub-section 1 of Section 122 of • The Electric Power Boards Act, 1925, and that the said loan or any part thereof together with interest thereon shall be repaid by equal aggregate annual or halfyearly instalments extending over the said term of twenty (20) years.” FURTHER PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Waitaki Electric Power Board to confirm the said Resolution by way of Special Order at a MEETING of the Board to be held at 10.15 a.m. on the 2nd day of OCTOBER, 1950, in the Board’s Offices, Thames street, Oamaru. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that it is the intention of the Lindis Rabbit Board, at its next meeting, to be held on OCTOBER 6, 1950, to MAKE AND LEVY under authority of Sections 65 to 68 of “ The Rabbit Nuisance Act, 1928,” and also under " The Rating Act, 1925,” a DIFFERENTIAL RATE upon all rateable property of the Lindis Rabbit District as appearing in the Valuation Roll of the said District for the time being in force, and to commence on April 1, 1950, and to end on March 31, 1951, and to be payable in one sum to the Secretary, Donegal street, Cromwell, on OCTOBER 30, 1950; anld further that an ADDITIONAL CHARGE OF TEN PER CENTUM (10 per cent.) will be added to all rates unpaid at the expiration of six months and fourteen days from the demand thereof. The said rate is to be made and levied upon all rateable property as classified in the schedule accompanying the Valuation Roll in the following manner:—Upon all land classified “A”, in the Schedule, 2ld per acre: upon all land classified “ B ” in the Schedule, 2J per acre; upon all land classified “ C ” in the Schedule. 3Jd per acre; upon all land classified “ D ” in the schedule, 4sd per acre; upon all land classified “ E ” in the Schedule, 6Jd per acre; upon all land classified “ F ” in the Schedule, 7Jd per acre. PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that the VALUATION ROLL, together with the said Schedule, is OPEN FOR INSPECTION by all persons interested therein at the residence of D. G. Smith, Donegal street, Cromwell, and at the Tarras Post Office, and that the RATE BOOK for the said District will, after OCTOBER 6. 1950, be OPEN FOR INSPECTION at the residence of D. G. Smith.
