SISTER TO HAUGHTY

Tradition gave a glimpse of her best form when she accounted for the field in the Rakaia Trot at Ashburton on Saturday. She was fifth into the straight and when M. Holmes took her to the front she went on to win without being challenged. The full-sister to the dual New Zealand Cup winner, Haughty, showed good form in her earlier racing, although she did not reach her best last season. Now that she has struck form she should carry on and take a fairly tight mark as she is more than useful.
