HOUSES SOLD BY AUCTION
A good deal of interest was taken yesterday in the sale of a five-roomed house on the corner of Ross street and Bruce street. After spirited bidding which started at £I2OO the house was sold for £2OIO. The dwelling which is built partly of bluestone will be available Immediately to the buyer. The auctioneers were N. and E. S. Paterson Ltd. Keen interest was displayed yesterday in the sale of a five-roomed house at 37 Douglas street, St. Kilda, the auction price being £1650. Vacant possession was guaranteed. The auctioneers were L. J. Ireland, Ltd.
