SPORTS RESULTS

Basketball rBecause of the inclement weather, all B and C Grade m itches of the North Otago Women’s Basketball Association’s competitions were postponed. A Grade matches were played in the Drill Hall and resulted:—Totara 19, Waitaki B 10; Old Girls 14, Star 5; Maheno 6, Wesley 5; Waitaki A 19, United 9; CYM 19, Nurses 18. Men’s Golf A Four-ball Best-ball Bogey Match was played by the North Otago Men’s Golf Club on Saturday. Best scores returned were:—S. R. Cuthbertson and S. R. Hedges 2 up, Gourley and McCabe all square, Lane and Rothwell 1 down. Women’s Hockey A further round in the North Otago Women’s Hockey Association’s handicap competition was played at Duntroon on Saturday. Results were:—Duntroon (scr) 3, Pirata Blue (scr) 2; Waimate (plus 4) 18, Pirata White (plus 7) 7. Association Football All Association football matches arranged for Saturday were postponed.
