Australian Foundation “ Rights” Firm DUNEDIN STOCK EXCHANGE Closely quoted (35s lOd buyer, 36s 2d seller) in the morning session on the Dunedin Stock Exchange, Milburn Lime and Cement shares were subsequently reported sold between call meetings at 365. A line of 500 changed hands at that price and the market closed in the afternoon with 35s 9d offered and 36s 3d asked. The only other sale in the course of a quiet day was a parcel of Australian Foundation " rights ” at the firm figure of Is 2d. An unusual entry in British Tobacco preference shares, on offer at 29s 6d, did not elicit a buying quotation. Unfamiliarity with the stock accounted for a lack of immediate response. Three long-dated 3 per cent. Government issues were asked for at substantial discounts, and the only other buyer was for 4 per cent. 1954-58 Stock quoted ex interest for the first time yesterday. There was a seller of a 2J per cent, issue, one 3 per cent, medium date, and a 4 per cent, short date.
