One of the smallest vessels to make the voyage from Britain to New Zealand is now en route from Tyne, to ‘Auckland with a cargo of Jarrow coke She is the 600-ton motor coastal vessel Fenja, which was recently acquired by an Auckland firm for the New Zealand coastal trade. She is being sailed to New Zealand by' a crew of 15, including several emigrants who are working their passages, and several Australians and( New Zealanders who are returning home from Britain. The Fenja was built in Sweden only last year for Swedish owners, and changed her flag at Hull at the beginning of the month. The ship is commanded by Captain A. T. Dowell, of Auckland, who flew to Britain to take her over. The oldest member of her crew is her donkeyman, George' Watkins, aged 63.who left New Zealand at the outbreak of the war to serve in the merchant navy. The youngest are two Hull brothers, Steven and Frank Ellis, aged 18 and 19, who are serving as assistant steward and deckhand. The voyage, which is expected to occupy three months, will be by way of the Suez Canal and Fremantle. The Fenja cleared Jarrow on May 20, and reached Gibraltar, where she was last reported, on Sunday. ;
