Occasional Rain Or Drizzle i The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—A complex depression extends over the Tasman Sea and New Zealand to the Chatham Islands. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate to fresh south-east , winds; weather, cloudy, with occasional rain or drizzle on the coast} temperatures colder. Weather in Dunedin.—Rain fell steadily in Dunedin yesterday. A total of 0.09 inches was recorded in the 24 hours to 9 a.m. and a further 0.35 inches fell in the next 12 hours. Temperatures were cold, the maximum being 47.5 deg and the minimum 43.3 deg. The wind was from the east. There was no sunshine. Tire barometer rose sharply during the day and at midnight the reading was 30.15 inches.
