DIPPING OF LIGHTS

Automobile Discussion

’’ They are a bigger menace than a drunken driver,” said Mr A. C. Taylor at the monthly meeting of the North Otago Automobile Association, when referring to motorists who failed to dip their lights. Mr Taylor reported that he had had difficulty on Mount Cargill on Sundav night, when driving against oncoming 'traffic because of the apparent failure of drivers to dip their lights. The car*' he added, seemed to be new models. Mr D K. Giffin said that the fault was not altogether that of the motorists, as in the new types of cars, although the lights were dipped within the resulation limits, they were still apt to be a menace on the roads. , It was decided to write to the Motor World suggesting that an article be inserted on the dipping of lights.
