FESTIVAL CONTINUED
Green Island Competitions The Green Island Competitions Society continued its festival on Saturday, there being large attendances at both the afternoon and evening sessions. The judges, Miss. Molly Randle and Mr James Clark, both commented favourably on the general standard in their respective sections. The competitions will conclude tomorrow night, but a demonstration concert will be given in the local town hall on Thursday evening. Results:— Vocal Solo (under 10 years).—Miss J. Smellie 1, C. Burns 2, Misses R. Harman, V. Houghton and A. Finnie (equal) 3, R. Geddes h.c.. A. Trower and Miss Ann Blair c. Vocal Duet (under 11).—Misses G. Lawrence and M. Harman 2.
