NEW CHAIRMAN

International Wool Secretariat

The newly-appointed chairman of the International Wool Secretariat. Mr R. G. Lund, a New Zealander by birth, is a journalist by profession. He has reached his present high position after three years and a-half as the Dominion's representative on the Secretariat. He succeeds Sir Charles McCann, Agent-general for South AusLund was born in Christchurch, and commenced his carrer in journalism with the Sun in 1926, later transferring to the Press, of which paper he became chief of staff in 1934. A year later, while still only 27 years of age. he was appointed editor of the Southland Times. He was for a time parliamentary correspondent of the Daily Times. He served as an intelligence officer with the RNZAF during the war. !
