NATIONAL PARTY DEBATE

There was a large attendance of both seniors and juniors at the National Party Centre on Friday night, when the juniors challenged the seniors to debate “ That the Dismantling of Heavy Industry in Germany is Essential for the Peace of Europe." The junior team, comprising Messrs G. C. Stephens (leader), N. O'Sullivan and D. Laver, took the affirmative, and the senior team, consisting of Messrs H. L.

Gibson (leader), F. Broomfield and F. Keane, took the negative. After a most interesting debate, the senior team was adjudged the winner. The judge was Mr J. S. D. More and the chairman Mr R. M. Cummings.
