THIRD LARGEST
DUNEDIN BURNS CLUB The Dunedin Burns Club was still one of the first three Bums Clubs in the world, said the Mr W. J. Oliver, at the annual meeting of the club last night. Two clubs in Glasgow had memberships of more that 1000 each, and the Dunedin Club, with its membership of 600. was the third largest, he said. There was a great deal more organised entertainment today than there was when the club was formed, said Mr A. Macdonald, commenting on the present membership of the club. Because of this, he said, the club was. fortunate in having as many members as it had. He suggested that the club provide dances to attract younger members. Life memberships were conferred on Messrs A. Macdonald, N. McDonald, A. McMillan and T. Gilchrist. Office-bearers elected were:—Patron, Mr A. McMillan: president, Mr W. J. Oliver: vice-presidents, Messrs A. Mcßae and E. Hastie; treasurer, Mr A, McMillan; secretary, Mr A. A. McLennan; honorary solicitor, Mr W. R. Brugh: committee—Sir Donald Cameron. Messrs T.
