QUEEN MARY’S CARPET

The beautiful carpet made by Queen Mary and presented by her to the nation to help the dollar drive, is being sent to the United States and Canada, where it will be placed on exhibition to the public. A special oak and steel casket has been constructed to preserve the carpet from damage during its travels. The photograph shows the carpet being packed in the casket, under police guard, by Miss Patricia Hardie, who will be in charge of it during the journey.
