The Cable Cars

The Dunedin Junior Chamber of Commerce, after considering the letter addressed to it by residents of San Francisco urging the people of Dunedin to save the cable cars, decided to take no action. The San Francisco letter was published in the Daily Times last Saturday. The Junior Chamber will acknowledge the letter, and thank the writers for their interest, but it feels, after considering all the circumstances, that it cannot take any action. The Junior Chamber is pleased, however, at the fact that the San Francisco peoples attention to the Dunedin cable cars had been drawn by the Dunedin Junior Chamber’s centennial year publication Century. This instance is further evidence of the interest throughout the world that has been shown in the publication.
