Britain is now exporting timber houses. The houses, called “pre-cut,” are the invention of an Australian architect and are constructed in sections. When completed, with two, three or four bedrooms, the houses are packed in huge crates ready for despatch. The first consignment- has already left for Australia. The Government of Victoria has ordered 1750, and they will greatly help in solving Australia’s housing problem. The photograph shows the exterior of one of the completed houses.
