Currency Revaluation Issue Is Not Before Australian Cabinet

NZPA—Copyright Rec. 9 p.m. CANBERRA, Fab. 16. The Prime Minister, Mr Menzies, stated today that the Australian Cabinet was not considering the revaluation of Australian currency. “In view of the speculation in America and London, it is right to say that the matter of altering the value of Australian currency is hot before Cabinet at all,” he added. “I am not excluding the possibility that it may be considered during the next three years. Frankly, Ido not know. All I can say is that the matter is not before Cabinet.”
