DUNEDIN BANDS

NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS Three Dunedin bands and several soloists from two other bands will leave during the next two days to compete in the New Zealand brass band championships to be held »t Christchurch from February 19 to The competing bands' will be St. Kilda and Kaikorai in the Championsnip Grade, and the Dunedin Watersiders’ Silver Band in the C Grade. Soloists and groups of players from the Dunedin Ladies’ Brass Band and the Caversham Band will compete in their respective classes. The Kaikorai Band is to leave by the 8.45 express this morning, and all the other players will travel to Christchurch by the 11.35 express on Saturday morning.
