MYSTERY PLANE STRAFES FISHING BOATS

\ NZPA—Copyright Rec. 7.20 p.m. LONDON, Feb. 4. The Royal Air Force began a wide search over England and Northern Germany today for a mystery plane which was alleged to have machinegunned several German fishing boats near the forbidden island of Heligoland yesterday. The plane allegedly made three attacks on vessels, one of which was struck by bullets. An RAF spokesman in Hamburg said it had definitely been proved that the plane was not British.
