Reference to the death of Mr John Swann was made at the monthly meeting of the Vincent Hospital Board last week. Mr Swann had been the Vincent County representative for 12 years. The Rev, W. M- Hendne, M.A., who recently came from Scotland to take up an appointment as Youth Director of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, will arrive in Dunedin today on a visit to the Dunedin Presbytery. Professor T. L. Althausen, of San Francisco, professor of medicine at the University of California, was a visitor to Dunedin at the week-end when he called on Dr W. E. Adams, professor of anatomy at the Otago Medical School and inspected the school. Professor Althausen, who is visiting New Zealand on leave, is accompanied by his wife, who is also a physician.
