RABBIT DESTRUCTION

CAIRNHILL BOARD'S POSITION MEMBERS DECIDE TO TAKE AN ACTIVE PART Discussing the financial position of the Cairnhill Rabbit Board at its routing in Alexandra, the chairman, Mr J. McCambridge said that more rabbiters were required but they were not available, and he doubted if the Board could afford to engage extra Staff at the present time. The only alternative, if a satisfactory rate of rabbit destruction was to be maintained, was for Board members themselves to take an active part in the work. All the members agreed to make themselves available for inspection work, poisoning, trapping and fence-mending.
