OTAGO RACING CIRCUIT OPENS TODAY
NEW YEAR MEETINGS
A Total Of Sixteen During Week-end FEAST OF HOLIDAY SPORT Over the New Year week-end 16 racing and trotting meetings will be held throughout the Dominion, and there is little doubt that the holiday spirit will be reflected in large attendances and continued buoyancy in the totalisator turn-over.
At each of the three meetings to be held on the North Otago circuit the doubles totalisator will be operated, the nominated races being the President’s Handicap and the Flying Handicap at Oamaru today, the Cup, and the Bray Handicap at Waikouaiti on Monday, and the Cup and the Hakataramea Handicap at the Kurow meeting at Oamaru on Tuesday.
