OCCASIONAL SHOWERS The official weather forecast issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington is:— Situation.—A deep depression south of New Zealand and the Tasman Sea is moving slowly away. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Moderate to fresh south-west winds. Weather changeable, with occasional showers. Temperatures moderate. Weather in Dunedin. Temperatures were high in Dunedin during the weekend, the maximum being 76.9 degrees. This was recorded on Sunday. The minimum was 55.2 degrees, and the sun shone for six hours. There was a rainfall of 0.02 inches, and the wind was from the south. On Saturday the maximum, temperature was 75.2 degrees and the minimum 52 degrees. The sun shone for 1 hour 30 minutes, and there was no rain. The wind was mainly from the southwest. Temperatures were lower yesterday, the maximum being 62 degrees and the minimum 51.3 degrees. The sun shone for 30 minutes, and there was no rain up till 9 a.m. In the next 12 hours 0.44 inches fell. A south-west wind prevailed. The barometer was rising last night, the - midnight reading being 29.40 inches.
