Ministerial The Minister of Defence, Mr Macdonald, and the Minister of Internal Affairs, Mr Bodkin, passed through Dunedin on Thursday. They will spend Christmas at home with their families.

Dr John Fulton has been appointed Regional Medical Officer for Otago in connection with the examination of youths of 18 years of age. It was stated yesterday that Dr Roland Fulton had been appointed. „ , The Rev. Alan C. Watson, of Melbourne, is at present visiting his brother, the Right Rev. R. S. Watson, Moderator of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand. Mr Alan Watson, who attended the World Council of Churches at Amsterdam last year as an Australian delegate, was formerly in charge of the East Taieri Presbyterian Church. Tomorrow morning he will preach at the East Taieri Church, and in the evening he will preach from the pulpit of St. Andrew’s, his brother s church. >
