A 10s double totallsator was operated on the J. J. Mclntosh and Stewards’ Handicaps at the Westland meeting, and the winning double, Highwiay-Corusoant, on which onlyone ticket was invested, returned the investor £5lO Bs.
Coruscant was ridden by N. B. Mundy, who was having his second ride in a race. The lucky investor was Mr A. Sparkes, a hairdresser from Runanga.
