Considered to be one of the most modern buildings in New Zealand to-day, the Mosgiel Woollen Factory*Company’s new unit, "KNITWEAR HOUSE,” is now practically completed and will open at the end of January. A great deal of careful thought has been put into its planning and construction with the object of creating working conditions of the highest order for the “ Mosgiel ” staff. Situated near the centre of the city, in Melville Street, and adjacent to Princes Street, the location is ideal for the staff, as it is on the main tram routes from the north, south, and Anderson’s Bay. Glass windows predominate and ensure an uninterrupted panoramic view of the Oval Reserve. Other outstanding features are the installation throughout of fluorescent lighting—the very latest adjustable seating and the most improved ideas for heating base& on air circulation. In addition, ultra-modem high speed tewing machines have been installed. Facilities Include a dining room and cafeteria and a rest room with an excellent outlook. Private lockers will be available to all girls for their personal belongings.
