Bandits Attack Colombian Town

BOGOTA (Colombia), Rec. 9 p.m. Dec. 14. A Government communique saia today that 82/ persons were killed when the town of Cocuy, in Boyaca State, was attacked by “ bandits.” It added that police and army forces fought the bandits.

It was the most serious clash reported officially since the Colombian Conservative Government decreed the state of siege dissolved. Congress, on November 9, declared a state of siege in preparation for the Presidential election on November 27, at which President Laureano Gomez was elected unopposed.
