COLD AND CHANGEABLE The official weather forecast, issued by the Government Meteorologist in Wellington. is:— Situation.—A depression is approaching New Zealand across the North Tasman Sea. Forecast to 5 p.m.—Fresh winds from a southerly quarter; weather, cool and changeable with occasional showers, but improving slowly. Further Outlook. —Mainly fair. Weather in Dunedin.—There was neither sunshine nor rain in Dunedin yesterday. In the city early last night, conditions were close, but cooled later. The maximum temperature was 62.3 degrees and the minimum 60.2 degrees. The wind varied in strength from t'ne north-east. Pressure declined throughout the day, the barometer reading at midnight being 29.40 inches. *
