FREYBERG CUP AT PAEROA Special to the Dally Times AUCKLAND, Dec. 13. The weather has been fine and warm, and conditions promise to be favourable for the Ohinemuri Jockey Club’s summer meeting at Paeroa on Saturday. Doubles betting on the totalisator will operate on the Freyberg Gold Cup and the Shaw Handicap. The fields are big, and there are likely to be. divisions in three races. Selections are:—10.45: Turua Hack Hurdles.—Pola, Tlfox, Mignonette. 11.35: Waihi Stakes.—First division: Mahafrid, Jyr.x, Master Menteith. Second division: Tunisia, Cimtulla, Lysterfield. 12.25: Karangahake Handicap.—First division: Miss Hiawatha, Classowa, Phlllatom. Second division: Personage, Burma Raid, Silvette. 1.20: Netherton Plate.—First division: Stylish Fox. Heroa, Little Acre. Second division: Tumbleweed, Choy Loy, Gay Calorie.
