QUOTATIONS RECORDED ON EXCHANGE
FULL BENCH OF BUYERS A full bench of buyers assembled on the Stock Exchange yesterday and, as a consequence, a wide range of quotations were recorded. The major business of the day was written in New Zealand Government issues at the lower rates assumed since the elections. Turnover in industrial and Australian scrip was again limited by the scarcity of genuine sellers, although buyers were more than willing to make reasonable advances towards nominal selling quotations. Felt and Textiles of New Zealand ordinary sold steady at 365, but Bank of New South Wales (at £39 15s) and Colonial Sugars at £57 were marked up. National Insurance sold 3d cheaper at 24s 9d and closed at 24s 6d (buyer) and 24s lOd (seller).
