Au Revoir Handicap At New ! Brighton
RIPCORD AMONG TROTTERS By the Sporting Editor On many occasions winners at New Brighton meetings have returned their supporters substantial dividends and the meeting to be held tomorrow is not likely to prove singular in this respect. With the exception of the Au Revoir Handicap, the looser class of pacer and trotter is catered for and the problem of those in search of winners is not made any easier by the size of the fields, which border on unwieldiness. Several of those engaged in the New Zealand Oaks will be making their first appearance in a race and the only pointer to their prospects is their breeding. The following horses may find favour with the public:— 10.45: Canterbury Handicap.— Perfect Trail, Contempt, Quindale. 11.28: Improvers Handicap. —Dame Durdin, King’s Brigade, Concord. 12.13: Wainoni Handicap. —Morano - Vigilant bracket, Commentator, Hilda Scott. 12.58: Members’ Handicap. —Systematic, Zulu, Ikaroa. 1.43: New Zealand Oaks.— Farlena, Anitra, Petro Star. 2.28: Brighton Handicap.— Ripcord, Bold Salute, Lady Inchcape. 3.13: Empire Handicap.— Peggydale, Ben’s Son, Parawa Derby. 3.58: Au Revoir Handicap.— Globe Direct, Integrity, Captain Gaillard.
