Travel Club Hold Christmas Party

The Tudor Hall at the Savoy Restaurant was crowded with members and friends on Wednesday night, when the Dunedin Travel Club held a Christmas party The president. Mrs Richard Hudson, welcomed the guests, and read greetings from sister clubs in New Zealand. Mr W. R. Brugh gave vivid glimpses of life in England and Scotland as he had seen it during his recent visit, London is still the same old London he said. " with trees, dogs, coupons, buses and queues.’’ The gracious proportions of the rooms in the old houses of Edinburgh, especially those in the Royal Male, were mentioned, whilst stories of cricket matches, grouse dinners, bus and aeroplane travel delighted the audience. P 'Comedy sketches by Misses Margaret Ufton and Sylvia Lawrence were followed bv supper and a distribution of gifts, and the tarty closed with the singing of Christmas carols
