CHILD ELECTROCUTED
PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 8. A pupil of St. Heller’s Bay School was electrocuted when he touched a hanging wire on his way home this afternoon. He was Trevor Ernest Hurfit, aged 7, son of Mr Morris Hurfit. The boy, accompanied by several other children, was walking with bare feet in wet grass on the road at the rear of the school when he caught hold of the wire. It had apparently been blown down by strong gusts of wind and was hanging about a foot from the ground. A master was informed and three doctors worked for four hours in an unsuccessful attempt to revive the child.
