LAST VOYAGE

BATTLE OF TRAFALGAR VETERAN BURIAL WITH HONOURS IN CHANNEL NZP A—Copyright Rec. 10 p.m. LONDON, Dec. 2. The old Implacable, the veteran warship that fought at Trafalgar, has gone to sea for the last time. Last night the Implacable lay off Spithead stripped of her masts and superstructure ready to be ceremoniously scuttled to-night. As a symbol of the service she rendered to Britain and France in 150 years of peace and war, she flew the White Ensign and Tricolour at the stern. As the scuttling charges in her hull send the Implacable plunging below the Channel waters with nags flying, buglers on* the destroyer Finisterre will sound the “ Last Post ’’ and flags of all nearby naval vessels will fly at half-mast.

Now Lord Nelson’s flagship, the Victory, moored at Portsmouth, will be the only Trafalgar survivor.
