PAPER MANUFACTURE TESTS

PA AUCKLAND, Dec. 2. Pulpwood for paper tests in a Texas mill will leave Rotorua in the next few days for Auckland, where it will be loaded on the steamer Port Albany. About 560 tons will be consigned, and 70 trucks will be required to move it. Most of it was sent by a special goods train which left Rotorua this morning. The shipment, which will provide enough timber for one day’s run in the paper mill at Lufkin, Texas, will assist to determine the suitability of New Zealand pinus insignis timber for paper manufacture
