WOMEN’S GOLF

Otago Club,—The monthly B Grade Medal Match was played on the Otago Links on Tuesday. Mrs Gamble, the club captain, and Miss Shand, the deputy captain, donated trophies for the match. The best scores were as follows:-—A Grade: Mrs Boyd 89—15—74, Mrs Williams 89— 13—76, Mrs Kaye 93—15—78. B Grade: Mrs Whitson 96—22—74, Mrs Haberfleld 100—20—80, Mrs Gilkison 106—26—80. Belleknowes Club.—An extra LGU Match was played yesterday. The best scores were:—A Grade: Mrs Murray 79 13—66, Mrs Stiven 81—14 —67, Mrs McCausland 80 —12—68, Mrs Elliott 84—15 —69. B Grade: Mrs Harraway 92—34—58, Mrs Hasell 82—19—63, Mrs M. Rhodes 90 —24—66, Miss V. Rhodes 90—22—68, Mrs Richarde 89—21—68. Chisholm Park Club.—On Tuesday the mid-week section of the Chisholm Park Ladies’ Golf Club played a Medal Round. The best scores returned were those of Mrs L. A. Wood 88—23—65, Mrs F. C, Hay 91—25—66, L. Williams 100— 33—67, Mrs W. Banwell 95—28—67. Mrs Hay reduced her handicap by 5 strokes, and Mrs Williams by 4 strokes. Next Tuesday is closing day, and a Canadian Foursome and putting will be played.
