The Ceylon Authorities require a Man with extensive experience of all aspects, of animal breeding with ability to undertake proper recording of data, assessment of hereditary character and guide methods of breeding in Ceylon. He should have sound knowledge of animal husbandry and dairying, including the making of butter and cream. It is essential the selected candidate should have wide experience in farm management and ability to supervise management of the five major Cattle Farms in Ceylon, which have 3000 head of cattle of 10 dlffrent breeds. A candidate possessing in addition a Natural Science Degree with Zoology and who has specialised in Animal Genetics will be preferred. The salary of the post is £960 sterling, rising to £I2OO sterling per annum by increments of £4O and £SO. The selected candidate may be placed at an appropriate point on the scale, depending on experience and qualifications.
