FOWL SURGERY
Mr H. Clark, who lives in Tasmania’s Central Highlands, recently found that five of his fowls had eaten poisoned oats, and promptly slit their throats with a razor blade.
He emptied their crops, stitched up the incisions with a darning needle and black thread. All the fowls lived. One laid an egg the following day.—Reuter—Hobart.
