FIRE CALLS
Machines from the South Dunedin Fire Station answered a call to a gorse fire near the Waverley Boys’ Home at 11.32 a.m. yesterday. False alarms at the premises of Andrew Lees, Ltd., and Whitcombe and Tombs, Ltd., and a chimney fire at Mayfield avenue at 7.17 p.m. were attended to.
