SOUTH ISLAND LOCAL BODIES’ ASSOCIATION Staff Reporter QUEENSTOWN, Oct. 12. Mr E. H. Andrews, Mayor of Christchurch. was re-elected president of the •South Island Local Bodies’ Association at the seventh annual conference at Queenstown to-day. Proposing Mr Andrews as president, Mr J. A. Harley (Nelson) said that Mr Andrews would be retiring from the office of Mayor next November, and he had been .president of the association since its inception. Other officers elected were: Vicepresident, Mr D. H. Cockburn, chairman of the Lake County Council; secretary, Mr F. G. K. Gilchrist; honorary treasurer, Mr H. S. Feast, Christchurch town clerk.
